Vignettes and tolls

Vignettes and tolls

No vignette. Motorways are tolled per distance and vehicle category (passenger cars are most likely group I). Currently paid at toll booths or with an ENC device.
A new unified free-flow electronic system with plate recognition is planned for full operation from 1 March 2027: toll booths removed, light vehicles use either an ENC device or licence plate recognition, both linked to the plate and a payment method. Motorway works for it are under way (overnight closures in October 2026).
